Ironmark Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 6, 2026

Ironmark is built to work without collecting your data. This policy explains exactly what that means in practice.

The short version: Ironmark has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. Everything you log stays on your device. Nothing is sent to us, because we don't operate any servers that could receive it.

What data Ironmark handles, and where it goes

Workout and weigh-in data you log. Stored only in the app's local database on your device. Never transmitted anywhere by the app itself.

Health data. If you choose to connect Apple Health, Ironmark reads your weight to keep weigh-ins in sync, and writes weigh-ins you log back to Health. This exchange happens entirely through Apple's HealthKit framework, on your device. We never receive, see, or store this data ourselves, it never leaves the HealthKit ecosystem you already control through iOS Settings.

iCloud backup (opt-in, off by default). If you turn this on in Settings, Ironmark writes a backup file to your device's iCloud storage. This is a local file write to a private space tied to your own iCloud account; the operating system syncs it to your other devices signed into the same iCloud account whenever you're connected. We have no access to this file. Turning the feature off, or never turning it on, means this never happens.

In-app bug reports. Tapping "Report a Bug" opens your device's Mail app with a pre-filled message addressed to us, including your app version, iOS version, and device model so we can help. Nothing is sent unless you personally tap send in Mail. You can edit or delete anything from that draft before sending.

Exercise demonstration content. Exercise images and animations are licensed from ExerciseDB, a third-party content provider. Displaying this content is a one-way, on-device thing, it doesn't involve sending any of your data to them.

In-app purchase. Unlocking premium features goes through Apple's App Store purchase system. We never see your payment details, Apple handles the entire transaction, and the only thing Ironmark receives back is whether the purchase succeeded.

What we don't do

Children's privacy

Ironmark isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, since it doesn't collect information at all.

Data deletion

Since everything lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. If you've enabled iCloud backup, you can also delete the backup file directly from your iCloud storage.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same location with a new effective date.
